When one man followed God's leading, it opened the door for thousands more to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ in rural Mexico.........

During the past 40 years, God has lead Brother George Rivera into a unique form of Christian service. Immediately after his conversion to Christ, Brother George began a one man crusade to bring the Gospel to the remote villages of Mexico.

Many villages had to be reached by donkey or on foot and many people were not receptive to the message. Despite hostility and many hardships, in the end there was also a great response.

Friends of Mexico was established in 1961 with the founding of a central church in Galeana. The ministry has expanded greatly over the years, including several smaller churches in nearby towns and villages.

The organization has constructed a headquarters or "compound" near the soaring mountains of Galeana. Facilities include boys and girls dormitories, restrooms, showers, and a dining hall.

The facilities are ideal for housing all varieties of church groups for mission trips to Mexico, and have served the needs of thousands of junior high, senior high, and college students.
